Who we are.

Tanzania Informatics Olympiad (TIO) is a national programme dedicated to nurturing exceptional talent in computer science and algorithmic problem-solving among secondary school students across Tanzania.

Our programme prepares students for national, regional, and international informatics competitions while promoting innovation, creativity, and computational thinking. TIO believes every student has the potential to become an outstanding problem solver, regardless of their background or school.

Mission

Discover and grow Tanzania's problem-solvers.

We discover talented students nationwide, promote computational thinking and coding skills, organize national informatics competitions, and train students through camps and online learning. We also actively encourage girls and underrepresented groups into computer science.
